About Tana Micro Finance Institution Share Company
Micro Finance institutions as part of the financial service providers render various types of services to their customers, among which notable are the mobilization of financial resources and lending these resources to those who have no access from the mainstream service providers like banks etc.
TANA Microfinance is organized by more than 2550 shareholders with the idea generation and inspiration of patriotic individuals in Ethiopia by initial paid up capital 54,110,000 ETB. It has received a legal license from the National Bank of Ethiopia on June 03, 2022 G.C and is providing savings and loan services. The primary mission is to provide quality services to those who cannot get credit from the bank and those who are at a low standard of living. At present, the total paid-up capital has reached 86 million and we are working hard to increase the capital further.
Tana Micro Finance S.C. (TMFI) is mainly engaged in the provision of financial service to the individuals and institutions that have no access of loan from conventional banks in a sustainable manner. Its income is expected largely to be derived from lending operations, the proper and prompt handling of loan application and processing is vitally important. An effective lending function depends up on development and formulation of sound credit policy and procedure.
